La pandemia de integridad de datos y desinformación

Por Rishi Mulloth

In the age of social media and the internet, any piece of information is instantly available in the pockets of billions of people globally. Sin embargo, due to advancements in technology, a lot of misinformation and fake sources have emerged, creating a situation where people see different perspectives of reality, all through their phones. Information Integrity is a short film in Planet Classroom’s Solucionadores de problemas series about the challenges we face because of misinformation.

From student director Prajwal Kapinadka, Information Integrity was curated for the Planet Classroom Network by Planet Classroom. Kapinadka’s hope is for the creation of a centralized global platform that can distinguish the truth from the lies, so the world doesn’t have to worry if what they’re reading is true or not.

Misinformation is a major problem in today’s society. It creates division among communities, and allows false narratives to be propagated and supported. This short film draws attention to a growing problem, and the need for some way to combat it.

This film will teach audiences about the misinformation pandemic on the internet. The short film is succinct in its approach, gets the message across concisely, and looks to the future to find a solution. Adicionalmente, this film will highlight for audiences that they need to be aware that not everything they see is real, no matter how authentic it may appear. With its educational message and the importance of this topic for today’s world, I think this film will be a great watch for all viewers, and I highly recommend it. I give it 3.5 fuera de 5 estrellas.
