Sensi.AI: AI for Senior Care — Film Review

By: Cameran Small

Sensi.AI: AI for Senior Care, created by Adrian Armstrong for Planet Classroom’s Problem Solver series, explores one of today’s fastest-growing global challenges: the eldercare crisis. With caregiver shortages rising and more seniors choosing to age at home, Armstrong’s short film introduces Sensi.AI—an audio-based artificial intelligence system designed to detect falls, mood shifts, early dementia symptoms, and health risks in real time.

Rather than presenting technology as a replacement for human care, the film highlights how AI can support caregivers and families facing burnout and difficult decisions. Through clear visuals and real-world examples—including care teams using Sensi to reduce hospitalizations—the film explains how proactive AI monitoring may help seniors age safely in place.

By focusing on both the emotional and systemic dimensions of senior care, Armstrong delivers an accessible and timely look at how artificial intelligence can address healthcare gaps with compassion and innovation.
