A Ripple that Resonates: Freshwater World

By Rhea Mursalin

Freshwater World: A Ripple of Change is a short and important project by Gabrielle D. Scott that shines a light on the global water crisis. This project opens on the importance of the differences between countries and cultures around the world; it brings attention to the beauty of what makes the world so unique. It then segues easily into the pressing and significant difference of the availability of water in different countries around the globe.

Freshwater World primarily brings focus to Matt Damon and Gary White’s nonprofit organization, Water.org, that is dedicated to transforming the lives of others. The project also highlights Amina in Kenya, who no longer walks hours for water, and Manish in India, now free to pursue education.

With strong visuals and an overall important message, Freshwater World creates awareness while also urgently demanding action.
