Building Better Futures with BRAC is an inspiring film created by Zachary Cole that highlights the life-changing work of BRAC. Founded in 1972 in Bangladesh, BRAC began by responding to urgent gaps in education and healthcare—where too many children couldn’t attend school and too many mothers couldn’t access medical support in time. Since then, BRAC has grown into the world’s largest NGO, reaching more than 126 million people each year across Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean.
What stands out most is BRAC’s community-first approach and the leadership of its workforce: the majority of its 90,000 staff members are women, delivering practical solutions that meet people where they are. The film shows how BRAC strengthens communities by supporting small businesses, expanding access to education, and bringing healthcare directly to families—building resilience through long-term, locally rooted support.
Ultimately, the film is a powerful reminder that sustained compassion and small acts of care can create lasting, large-scale impact.
