Curta-metragem de Brigid Donahue, Salvar as abelhas salvam o planeta, oferece tudo o que você quer saber sobre o estado atual da população de abelhas. Imediatamente sou atraído pelas obras de arte criadas pelo cineasta. É uma maneira tão fácil de mostrar talento e arte. Eu amo que o filme incorpore citações diretas e declarações de fontes acadêmicas. Donahue faz um bom trabalho ao mostrar a importância das abelhas e o papel que elas desempenham em nossos ecossistemas.
Eu acho que o filme se beneficiaria muito com uma voz sobre a faixa. Ter narração de uma forma faz o filme parecer mais importante. O tema abordado neste filme é importante e deve ser transmitido da melhor forma possível. O público ficará mais engajado se tiver esse diálogo adicional. O autor do vídeo dá seu nome e aborda o problema que mais deseja resolver. Este filme já é pessoal do autor, então eu acho que ouvir a voz dela elevaria tudo.
I thought the look of the film was great and the length was just the right amount. The information comes at you quickly but not so fast that you can’t digest it all. The zooming of the background images could be stretched out a bit more so they don’t just stop moving, but it doesn’t affect the overall message being told. Imagery shown throughout was well selected and fit what was being explained in the text. This film accomplishes what it set out to do: inform its audience of the importance of bees and what needs to be done to protect them.
