Turning Pain into Purpose: Jacob Boyle’s Story is a moving short film documenting how personal struggle inspired innovation. Inventor Jacob Boyle, once a teen battling anxiety and depression, transformed his pain into hope by creating MARCo—a teddy bear-sized robot companion that supports mental health for children and adolescents.
The film explores how MARCo works: offering breathing exercises, real-time encouragement, and emotional connection to kids navigating mental health challenges. Director Breana Wheeler spotlights both the invention and the human story behind it, reminding viewers that technology, driven by empathy, can change lives.
