Mama CHIA: A Story of Love in Vietnam is an intimate short film that captures the transformative impact of the NGO Children’s Hope in Action (CHIA) in central Vietnam. Directed by Amelia Purvis, produced by Isabella Galvez, with cinematography by Sydney Villa and editing by Jessica Lee, the film documents how CHIA provides access to healthcare, education, and emotional support for children and families in need.

The film does an excellent job of letting viewers witness the day-to-day efforts of this life-changing organization. The heart and soul of the film come from the down-to-earth moments and the people behind the work. Its story reinforces how community-driven support can create lasting, transformative change. The close-up storytelling and sensitive direction connect the viewer deeply to the mission.
