This short film, produced by Nadia Quito, explores Sandbox VR, an immersive virtual reality entertainment platform founded by CEO Steven Zhao. The company’s mission is to create shared VR gaming experiences that feel physical, social, and deeply interactive.
Using full-body motion-capture technology similar to what Hollywood uses for CGI effects, Sandbox VR tracks human movement through reflective markers and translates it into real-time virtual reality gameplay. This approach allows players to feel as though they are truly inside the game world. The film highlights how immersive VR technology enhances realism while turning gaming into meaningful, shared experiences—creating memorable quality time with friends and family.
