Why Do We Compost? is both a question and the name of this video, directed, edited, and cinematographed by Adam Hersko-RonaTas and produced by the California Association of Compost Producers.
This short PSA almost feels like a music video in the way it is shot and in how Adam explains what composting is. The clips are edited to move with the beat of the music; there is a colorful haze in the background of the images, and everything Adam says appears on screen like lyrics. The question is basic, and the answer is basic, and that’s okay because composting is equally as important as recycling. Its visual appeal, simple premise, and useful information make this short a good watch.
I give this short 3 out of 5 stars.
