The world of tech has evolved, and millions of people with limb differences still face daily challenges. In the short film Bionic Touch: The Future of Prosthetics, produced by Alaya Welch, we meet Dr. Aadeel Akhtar, founder and CEO of PSYONIC. Inspired by his own experiences and the people he met, he leads the team behind the Ability Hand, an advanced bionic hand designed to be more affordable and accessible.
The film explains how the Ability Hand offers real-time touch feedback and 32 customizable grips that help people perform everyday tasks more easily. It also shows how the design is flexible, durable, and built to work in many real-world environments.
Overall, Bionic Touch is full of hope. It shows how engineering and empathy together can make the world better for people who need prosthetics—by creating what is billed as one of the world’s fastest and most advanced bionic hands.
