By: Rhea Mursalin

When Bugs Fly: Tale of the Nite-Kite, an animated short film by Joni Nowak, follows the story of a slug named Sebastian who desperately craves fulfilling his dream of flying. Despite the fact that Sebastian is a bug lacking wings, his group of friends – other pond creatures including Dart the dragonfly and Fletcher the frog – band together to help Sebastian realize his dreams.

This short film is one that is filled with adventure and charm. It is suitable for all ages as Nowak paints a necessary story centered around overcoming obstacles and chasing what your heart desires.

The unique animation and well-developed storyline create a short film worth watching and worth remembering! I would give this film 5 out of 5 stars.
