Il programma Campfire del Global Nomads Group aiuta i giovani di tutte le culture a saperne di più gli uni sugli altri.

Melody is a four-minute short film that highlights the Global Nomads Group’s Campfire program. The Global Nomads Group (GNG) is an organization that focuses on connecting young people from all over the world through video-conferencing technology. It’s work brings young people from all cultures together to communicate, share life experiences, and learn more about each other.

In Melody, a student based in New York who has participated in the Campfire Program discusses how she connected and worked with another student from Jordan. Melody discusses her experience while taking part in the program, including what she learned about people from Jordan, their religious and cultural beliefs, as well as their interests. Her main takeaways are that the people she met are not entirely different from herself and her classmates. Both Melody and the youth from Jordan gain a deeper understanding of each other and a broader outlook on their world. In short, Melody’s story is exactly the kind of learning that the GNG seeks to nurture.

GNG has set up similar video-conferencing lessons in over 60 countries from the United States to Rwanda.

In conclusione, I would give this short film 4 per 5 stelle. I do wish it had covered more about the GNG and what Melody continued to do with them. The message about the importance of multicultural learning is short, sweet, and to the point. It is a film that makes you want to learn more about this organization’s work and consider who else this approach might help.
