Technological advancements are occurring at an extremely rapid pace. Technologies continue to evolve to better fit the needs of people, creating ease and efficiency. Blockchain technology is one of the many systems that is advancing and evolving within our current society.
The Promise of Blockchain Technology, a short film created by Salam Khatib with voiceover by Drew Borden, seeks to understand what exactly Blockchain technology is and why it matters. The film depicts how, contrary to popular belief, Blockchain technology does not solely revolve around finance and digital coins. Instead, it has a diverse set of applications that expands into a wide variety of different industries, including art, music, healthcare, supply chain management, and politics, among many others.
This well-made film includes a spectacular amount of engaging visuals that truly capture viewers’ attention. The narration of the film is also exceedingly thoughtful and clear, adding to the film’s overall high quality. The film conducts an insightful exploration of Blockchain technology and its functions within our society, ultimately providing the audience with a clear understanding of the potential this technology has to transform our society.
I give this film 4 out of 5 stars.
