There’s Nothing Wild About Being Yourself

By Tanner Sell

Take a Walk on the Wildside is a short film directed by Lisa Rideout that follows Paddy and her shop for the real ones in life. An eccentric and eclectic collection of women’s clothing with an audience of men in mind. Those who crossdress find themselves at home when in Paddy’s realm.

Lisa Rideout takes this opportunity to create an elegant and effortless viewing experience that reminds us that in the end, everyone is still very much a human. Though it may be called Take a Walk on the Wildside, there is nothing wild about being yourself and fulfilling what it means to be a human above all.

I am pleased to rate this film with 5 out of 5 stars.
