But many of us have never considered the different types of love found in diverse families around the world. Set on Pride Day, 爱就是爱 features the original song from Phil Evans that celebrates LGBTQ+ families. Created by Hopster Studios, the video applauds diversity and serves as a reminder and learning tool for kids about LGBTQ+ love in households all around them.
爱就是爱, directed by Mina Song, was curated for the Planet Classroom Network by KIDS FIRST!. This animated music video spreads a heartwarming message of universal love encouraging inclusion and acceptance. The primary target audience for this video is children and as this might be a child’s first exposure to learning about the LGBTQ+ community, I believe the film is the perfect first introduction.
Where 爱就是爱 succeeds is in striking a fine balance between being both a fun, animated music video as well as an informative teaching tool.
