Prachi, why did you decide to interview Dr. Srinivasan Keshav?

I wanted to interview Dr. Srinivasan Keshav because I have been inspired by his remarkable contributions at the intersection of technology and sustainability. One of my core beliefs behind starting Cool The Globe was that it is important to measure the impact of climate actions. We can only change what we can measure. 因此,, I was particularly inspired by his pioneering efforts in developing thePermanent Additional Carbon Tonne” (PACT) method. 何. Keshav’s work in finding practical and data-driven solutions to environmental challenges is truly commendable. It was my honor to get an opportunity to interview him.

面试中最让你惊讶的是什么?

很多时候, what we don’t do matters just as much as what we do. We can find ways to incentivize people to do the right thing. But how can we incentivize people to stop doing the wrong thing? 何. Keshav’s work on streamlining a method to reward people for ‘not’ cutting down tropical forests is groundbreaking. His insights on carbon credits linked to forest protection were truly unique and thought-provoking. I ended the interview with a new perspective and a great deal of knowledge from this riveting conversation with Dr. Keshav. This episode of Net Zero Speaks is a must-watch for a new perspective on looking at Carbon Credits.

有哪些 3 净零观众从您的采访中得到的主要收获?

As climate advocates, our job is not just to spread awareness on climate action. People need to be incentivized for environment protection. I learned from this conversation that finding ways to reward climate action has to be a core part of the work we do. 何. Keshav spent the early stages of his career building the internet of things and then did a great deal of work in computer networking. Throughout the interview, I could sense how this body of work added value to his work in climate and sustainability. The listeners of this episode can gain a great deal of value on how to intersect sustainability with technology. If there is one key takeaway that the listeners can take from this interview, it is Dr. Keshav’s inspiring science-based approach to fighting climate change and making the world a better place.

谢谢, Prachi!
