Mental Health That Meets You Online Review: How Talkiatry Is Expanding Access to Virtual Psychiatry and Telehealth Care

By Alex Silverman

Mental Health That Meets You Online, created by Brittney Lopez, introduces viewers to Talkiatry — a national, insurance-based virtual mental health practice founded by Robert Krayn and Dr. Georgia Gaveras to address barriers in psychiatric care.

The short film highlights a critical issue: millions of Americans struggle to access affordable, specialized mental health treatment. Long wait times, limited in-network providers, and geographic barriers often prevent patients from receiving timely care. Through telepsychiatry and online therapy, Talkiatry connects adults and children (age 5+) with board-certified psychiatrists for diagnosis, medication management, and treatment of conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and OCD.

Since launching in 2020, Talkiatry has facilitated more than 1.3 million patient visits and works with 100+ insurance plans, aiming to make mental healthcare more accessible and streamlined.

Lopez’s film presents Talkiatry as a growing force in the telehealth space, emphasizing convenience, insurance accessibility, and the expanding role of digital platforms in mental health support.
